Programme Overview

BSc Computer Science Honours

The B.Sc. Computer Science Honours programme is designed to provide a strong foundation in computing principles along with practical and industry-relevant skills. The curriculum covers key areas such as programming, data structures, database management, computer networks, operating systems, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning.

A major feature of the programme is its multidisciplinary and flexible structure, allowing students to choose minor and elective courses based on their interests. It emphasizes experiential learning through lab sessions, projects, and internships, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. Advanced topics such as data mining, blockchain, and IoT further enhance industry readiness.

The programme also promotes analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and innovation, preparing graduates for careers in IT, research, and entrepreneurship.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed (eligible for higher studies) the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) of the Kerala State Board or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.

Candidates must have studied at least one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology, Informatics Practice/Informatics, or Additional Mathematics.
