The Department of Botany and Forensic Science organized a seminar on Soft Skill Development and Academic Writing on 25th February 2025, 10.30 am- 12.30pm at Ambedkar Hall. The session was handled by Mr. Sanjo Jose, College Librarian, St. Thomas College, Thrissur. The seminar aimed to equip students with essential soft skills and academic writing techniques to enhance their overall personality and career prospects. The session was well-attended by students from Botany and Forensic Science department, who actively participated in the discussions and interactive sessions. The programme was coordinated by Muhasina M. and Haritha Jayachandran. The resource person shared valuable insights on academic writing, including the structure, style, and tone of research papers, essays, and reports. He also discussed the importance of plagiarism-free writing and proper citation. The seminar achieved its objectives, as participants reported improved understanding and confidence in soft skills and academic writing. The session also inspired students to develop a growth mind-set, set realistic goals, and work towards achieving academic and professional excellence.
