Seminar on softskill development and Scientific writing

Under placement cell students are given guidance on interview skills and resume preparation with Scientific Writing for research aspirants

A seminar on softskill development and academic writing was organized by the Department of Forensic Science and Botany on 25th February 2025 at MES Kalladi College, Mannarkad. The session was taken by Mr. Sanjo Jose, College librarian, St. Thomas College, Thrissur. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Aiswarya, H.O.D, department of Forensic Science, Placement cell coordinator Ms. Haritha Jayachandran and Assistant Professor Mr. Sooraj Krishna U. Ms. Haritha Jayachandran invited the guest into the ssessionwith the welcome speech and the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Sooraj Krishna. The session was held at Ambedkar hall between 10:30am and 12:30pm. The three hour long seminar by Mr. Sanjo Jose was a really informative one. He gave a detailed lecture on various aspects of research and paper publication and gave us a clear idea on how to achieve a proper paper presentation. He even discussed the minute details of paper presentation by showing us different research papers and gave us step by step instructions on how to write a research paper by explaining various procedures that is to be followed to achieve the same. He also encouraged us to read various journals and insisted us to publish research papers as it could be really helpful for the future. He also gave us lectures on resume writing and explained the importance of a good resume. He described each and everything by showing us perfect examples. He was really interactive with the students and it was never a one way conversation. The seminar was a really informative one and the students were really benefitted from the same.
