Inaguration of Certificate course : Plant tissue culture and Its applications

Inaugural talk on Plant Tissue Culture and its ApplicationsDated, 18.11.2024 The inaugural session of the certificate course titled "Plant Tissue Culture and its Applications" for the academic year 2024-25, organised by the Department of Botany, was held on November 18, 2024, at the Botany lab, of our college at 10:00 AM.The session commenced with a silent prayer, followed by a warm welcome speech by Ms. Pooja Suresh, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, who welcomed all the participants and distinguished guests. This was followed by the presidential address delivered by Dr. Sereena K., Head of the Department of Botany, who highlighted the importance of plant tissue culture in modern science and its various applications in research and industry. The program was officially inaugurated by Dr. Rajesh C., Principal of the college, who encouraged the students to make the most of this valuable learning opportunity. Following the inauguration, Ms. Naseema M.K., Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, felicitated the guests and speakers.The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Ashfak Muhammed O., Research Scholar, Government Victoria College, Palakkad, who provided an insightful presentation on the significance and applications of plant tissue culture in Botany. His talk covered a range of topics, including the techniques involved, challenges, and future prospects in this area of research. The event concluded at 12:30 PM with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shahana Jasmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, speakers, and participants for their presence and contribution to the success of the event.
