Workshop on Curriculum Enrichment A workshop on Curriculum Enrichment was successfully organized by the department of Commerce, MES Kalladi college, Mannarkkad on 09/01/2026. The programme aimed at enhancing faculty awareness and understanding of innovative approaches to curriculum development in alignment with contemporary academic and industry requirements. The workshop is begin with the welcome speech by Fathimath Thasleena K, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, presided by Femina EP, HOD, Department of Commerce and inaugurated by the vice principal, Dr. TK Jaleel The workshop was led by Dr. V. K. Muraleedharan, an eminent academician and curriculum expert. The session focused on the concept, significance, and practical implementation of curriculum enrichment in higher education. Dr. V K Muraleedharan highlighted the need for continuous curriculum revision to ensure academic relevance, learner engagement, and employability. During the session, the resource person emphasized outcome-based education, interdisciplinary integration, skill-oriented learning, and the incorporation of experiential and project-based learning methods. He also discussed the role of digital tools, flexible learning pathways, and value-added courses in enriching the curriculum. An interactive discussion followed the presentation, during which participants raised queries related to syllabus restructuring, assessment reforms, and innovative teaching-learning strategies. Dr. V.K Muraleedharan provided practical insights and shared examples of best practices adopted by leading institutions. The workshop was attended by faculty members of the departments. Participants found the session highly informative and beneficial, as it provided clear guidance on designing student-centric and outcome-oriented curricula. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the valuable contribution of the resource person and the efforts of the organizing team.
