Green Initiative Programme

Green Initiative Programme Report The Research and Postgraduate Department of Chemistry organized a Green Initiative Programme on 31st July 2025 at MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad. The event aimed to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in chemistry education through innovative approaches such as microscale chemistry. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Rajesh P., Principal, MES Kalladi College. Dr. Mohammed Mustafa T., Head of the Department of Chemistry, and Dr. Sreenivasan K.P. addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of integrating green chemistry principles into the academic curriculum. The theme of the event was "Green Innovation Workshop: Think Green, Work Small – Microscale Chemistry in Action." As part of the workshop, microscale organic chemistry practicals were conducted for M.Sc. Chemistry students. These sessions demonstrated techniques to minimize the use of hazardous chemicals and reduce waste, thereby promoting eco-friendly and sustainable laboratory practices.
