REPORT: FOOD TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION (JANUARY 19, 2026) On January 19, 2026, the Department of Food Technology at MES Kalladi College (Autonomous), Mannarkkad, organized an innovative educational exhibition that successfully provided practical knowledge to visiting students from nearby schools. The program featured three highly interactive components managed by the department's students: an innovation stall showcasing 18 newly developed food products that highlighted creative formulation and functional nutrition; a dairy plant still model demonstration that simplified complex industrial processes like pasteurization and homogenization; and a food adulteration stall that raised public health awareness by demonstrating rapid, household tests to detect common contaminants in daily food items. This community outreach initiative successfully fostered experiential learning, allowing school visitors to gain valuable insights into food safety and processing technology while enabling the college students to demonstrate their technical expertise and presentation skills.
