TURNING IDEAS TO RESEARCH AND STARTUPS The IEDC (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre) at MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad organized an inspiring program entitled “Turning Ideas to Research and Startups” on 3rd October 2024. The event aimed to empower students with the knowledge and skills to transform innovative ideas into impactful research and entrepreneurial ventures. The program began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Sainul Abidin K, Nodal Officer, IEDC. He introduced the theme of the program and encouraged participants to explore the intersection of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. The event was formally inaugurated by Dr. C. Rajesh, Principal of MES Kalladi College. In his address, Dr. Rajesh highlighted the importance of nurturing innovative thinking among students and supporting their journey toward building successful startups. The highlight of the program was an engaging keynote address by Dr. Reshma, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Mercy College, Palakkad. She provided valuable insights into the process of converting ideas into research projects and startups, sharing her expertise and real-world examples to inspire participants. The program was attended by 40 participants from various departments of students and faculty members, who actively engaged with the resource person and asked thought provoking questions during the interactive session. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sruthi V S, Assistant Nodal Officer, IEDC MES Kalladi College. She expressed her gratitude to the resource person, dignitaries, and participants for contributing to the success of the event. The program “Turning Ideas to Research and Startups” was an insightful and interactive event that provided attendees with practical knowledge and inspiration to transform their ideas into impactful research and entrepreneurial endeavors. It reinforced IEDC MES Kalladi College’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.
