MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, observed International Forest Day 2025 on 21 March 2025 with a theme of "Food and Forest" to raise awareness about the importance of forests in sustaining life on Earth.The event commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Sereena K, Head of the Department, Botany, who emphasized the significance of forests in maintaining ecological balance.Dr. Rajesh C, Principal of MES Kalladi College, officially inaugurated the event, highlighting the college's commitment to environmental conservation.Mr. Subair N, Forest Range Officer, Mannarkkad, delivered a keynote address, taking an awareness class on the crucial role of forests in providing food, shelter, and livelihoods. He also stressed the need for sustainable forest management practices.Fifty students from the college participated in the event, demonstrating their enthusiasm for environmental conservation.The programme coordinator, Mr. Faseeh K, proposed a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and organizers for making the event a success.The International Forest Day 2025 celebration at MES Kalladi College served as a platform to promote awareness about forest conservation and sustainability, inspiring students to become responsible stewards of the environment
