MES KALLADI COLLEGE MANNARKKAD DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE Report on Tribal Area Visit Programme Date: 28th November 2024 Venue: GTHSS Pudur Conducted by: Department of Commerce Coordinated by: Nabeela M.K. and Sherin N. The Department of Commerce organized a tribal area visit programme, titled "Tribal Trek", on 28th November 2024. The programme aimed to engage with tribal students and promote eco-friendly practices. As part of this programme, teachers and students from the Department of Commerce visited GTHSS Pudur, a school in a tribal area. The college students provided eco-friendly product ideas to the school students, promoting sustainable practices and innovation. The programme also included various entertainment activities, which helped to break the ice and foster a sense of camaraderie between the college students and the tribal students. The success of the programme was made possible by the efforts of the coordinators, Nabeela M.K. and Sherin N., who worked tirelessly to organize and execute the event. Objectives: 1. To engage with tribal students and promote eco-friendly practices. 2. To provide a platform for college students to share their knowledge and skills with tribal students. 3. To promote innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility. Outcome: 1. The programme helped to promote eco-friendly practices and sustainable living among tribal students. 2. The college students gained valuable experience in interacting with tribal students and sharing their knowledge and skills. 3. The programme helped to foster a sense of social responsibility and community engagement among college students. Conclusion: The Tribal Trek programme was a successful initiative that helped to promote eco-friendly practices, innovation, and social responsibility. The Department of Commerce plans to conduct more such programmes in the future, engaging with tribal communities and promoting sustainable development.
