Co-operative Week CelebrationREPORT ON NATIONAL COOPERATIVE WEEK CELEBRATIONS Organized by the Department of Commerce The Department of Commerce successfully celebrated National Cooperative Week by organizing a series of programs aimed at enhancing students' understanding of the importance and role of cooperatives in building a better future. The week-long celebrations included a variety of interactive and educational activities conducted from [14/11/2024- 19/11/2024 and 25/11/2024]. Day 1: Message on Cooperatives The inaugural session commenced with an insightful message on the significance of cooperatives delivered by the Head of the Department of Commerce Mrs Asmabi k. The program was presided over by Dr. Abdul Azees, K A Assistant Professor, and the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Nabeela MK, Coordinator of the event. Day 2: Seminar on Cooperation A seminar focusing on the principles and benefits of cooperation was conducted. Five students actively participated, presenting their ideas and gaining a deeper understanding of cooperative values. Day 3: Quiz Competition A quiz competition based on the theme of cooperation was organized to test students' knowledge and encourage active participation. A total of 12 students enthusiastically participated, making the event both educational and competitive. Day 4: Essay Writing Competition An essay writing competition was held on the topic “Cooperatives: Building a Better Future for All.” Students showcased their writing skills and understanding of the role of cooperatives in societal development. Day 5: Poster Making Competition The week concluded with a creative poster-making competition on the theme “Together for a Better Tomorrow.” Students demonstrated their artistic talents while highlighting the importance of unity and cooperation. Conclusion The celebrations were a resounding success, fostering awareness among students about the vital role cooperatives play in socio-economic development. The Department of Commerce extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, faculty members, and the organizing committee for their efforts in making this event a meaningful and enriching experience
