GenNext : Redefining Gender Roles

The Departments of Botany and Zoology at MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, jointly organized a thought provoking seminar titled "GENNEXT: Redefining Gender Roles" on 17th October 2025 at 2 PM, held at Ambedkar Hall. The event was conducted as part of the departments' ongoing efforts to promote social awareness and critical thinking among students.The session was led by Mr. Sharafudheen P A, a Social Psychologist and Research Scholar with an MSW in Medical & Psychiatry. As the resource person, he offered valuable insights into evolving gender norms, societal expectations, and the importance of fostering equality and inclusivity in modern society. The seminar saw active participation from students and faculty members, sparking meaningful discussions on gender identity, stereotypes, and roles in contemporary culture. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Silpa M and Mr. Faseeh K, with the support of Ms. Nazeema M.K., Head of the Department. The Principal, Dr. Rajesh C, extended his encouragement and support, contributing to the success of the event. The session concluded with a positive response from attendees, who appreciated the relevance and depth of the topic in today’s world.
