Destination visit / Study tour

The BVoc Tourism and Hospitality Management students of Meskalladi College conducted a study tour as part of their first-semester syllabus from November 22 to November 27, 2024. A total of 25 students, accompanied by 2 teachers, visited prominent tourist destinations, including Charminar, Golconda Fort, Hussain Sagar Lake, Ramoji Film City, and the Salar Jung Museum. The tour provided students with hands-on learning experiences, enriching their understanding of tourism and hospitality management. This excursion aimed to broaden their knowledge of historical landmarks, cultural heritage, and the tourism industry, enhancing both academic and practical insights.

A workshop on research methodology was conducted on 25th November 2024, at the Audio-Visual Lab for the students of the Psychology Department. The session was led by Ms. Athira P. R., a PhD scholar from the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. The workshop provided both practical and theoretical insights into research methodology, making it highly beneficial for the students. Active participation and enthusiastic engagement from the attendees made the session interactive and productive. EXTENSION ACTIVITY- LACTIMOR

As part of National Milk Day celebrations 2024-LACTIMOR, we extended our outreach by visiting Poothozhikkavu Anganwadi and Old Age Home to promote the importance of milk and nutrition. At the Anganwadi, we distributed milk chocolates prepared by our students and to raise awareness about health benefits of milk and milk products. At the Old Age Home, we shared ghee, spent quality time with the elderly, and organized awareness class on about health benefits of milk and milk products. This initiative aimed to spread warmth, care, and the message of good nutrition across all generations.

Study Tour Report: Goa & Dandeli (November 15-20, 2025) The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at MES Kalladi College successfully organized a study tour to Goa and Dandeli from November 15 to November 20, 2025. A total of 37 students from the B.Voc 3rd-year batch participated in this enriching experience. The tour was escorted by faculty members Mr. Jofin Antony and Ms. Anju V.A. The study tour aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to tourism and hospitality operations, including resort management, adventure tourism, and ecotourism activities. In Goa, students explored prominent tourist attractions, visited luxury hotels, and learned about beach tourism. The visit to Dandeli focused on adventure tourism, including river rafting, jungle safaris, and eco-tourism practices. The trip was a valuable learning experience, allowing students to gain practical insights into the industry while enhancing their teamwork and organizational skills.
