About National Science Day
National Science Day is celebrated on February 28 each year to honor the discovery of the Raman Effect by Dr. C.V. Raman. The event aims to encourage scientific innovation, curiosity, and awareness among students, researchers, and the general public.
Objectives
To promote awareness of advancements in science and technology.
To foster creativity and innovation for a sustainable future.
To provide a platform for knowledge exchange
through expert discussions and competitions.
Events and Activities
1. Invited Lecture
Two distinguished resource persons will deliver expert lectures on the theme “ Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat ” These sessions will provide valuable insights into emerging technologies and sustainable innovations.

2. Competitions
For College Students:
- Video-Making Competition
Participants are invited to create science-based videos on topics related to the theme.
The theme:Indigenous knowledge systems and modern science integration
For School Students:
- Science Project-Making Competition
Students can submit innovative science projects focusing on sustainable technology and solutions.
The theme for the project: നൂതന മാലിന്യസംസ്കരണവും പുനരുപയോഗ സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യയും (Innovative waste management and recycling technology)
Entry Guidelines
Last date for submission: 12th February 2025
Participants must follow the guidelines shared by the coordinators.
