Life skill development-Assertiveness Training
The Life Skill Development Program aims to equip students with essential personal and social skills through focused training in assertiveness, communication, and interpersonal relationships. The session begins with an introduction and icebreaker to create a comfortable learning environment. The communication skills segment enhances both verbal and non-verbal communication, including tone, clarity, active listening, body language, and eye contact, supported by interactive pair exercises. The interpersonal skills segment develops trust, empathy, understanding of personality differences, and conflict resolution abilities through group activities and problem-solving challenges. By the end of the program, participants will be able to express themselves confidently and respectfully, communicate effectively, and build healthy, positive relationships in personal, academic, and professional contexts.
A Life Skill Development session focusing on assertiveness training will be conducted for the students of the Psychology Department from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Led by Hiba Nasreen, a skilled life skill trainer, the program aims to help students express their thoughts, feelings, and needs confidently and respectfully, improve communication skills, and strengthen interpersonal relationships, enabling effective interaction in personal, academic, and professional settings.
