Workshop on Media Research Methodology

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, M.E.S Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, successfully organized a Workshop on Media Research Methodology on October 21, 2024. The workshop aimed to enhance research skills among students and scholars in the field of media studies.The resource person for the session was Muhammed Musthafa K.P., Junior Research Fellow, University of Calicut, who provided valuable insights into research methodologies and tools essential for conducting effective media research. He introduced participants to various research techniques, data collection methods, and analytical tools, helping them develop a structured approach to media research.The event commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Lakshmi R.S., Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, who emphasized the importance of research in media studies and encouraged students to actively engage in scholarly pursuits.The workshop featured interactive discussions, hands-on exercises, and practical demonstrations, making it a highly engaging and informative session for all attendees. Participants gained a deeper understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations in media research.
