Workshop on plant propagation techniques

The Department of Botany at MES Kalladi College in Mannarkad, Kerala, India, conducted a workshop on plant propagation. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Sereena K., (HOD)and was coordinated by Dr. Shahina PM, The resource person for the workshop was PM Haris, a plant cultivator, consultant, and gardener.ObjectivesThe objectives of the workshop were to:Introduce participants to different methods of plant propagation.Provide hands-on training in plant propagation techniques.Promote the use of plant propagation for conservation and sustainable development.ActivitiesThe workshop included the following activities:A lecture on the principles of plant propagation by PM Haris.A demonstration of various plant propagation techniques, including cutting, grafting, and layering.A hands-on session where participants were able to practice plant propagation techniques under the guidance of experts.ParticipantsThe workshop was attended by students, faculty members, and other interested individuals from the MES Kalladi College community.
