Coaching for Competitive Examination

The Department of Botany, MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad (Autonomous), organised a Coaching for Competitive Examination programme on 23 December 2025 at Thunchan auditorium with support from PM-USHA. The programme aimed to familiarise students with the structure, syllabus, and preparation strategies for various competitive examinations. The sessions were handled by Ms. Akshaya S, Academic Mentor, pscmithr.com, focusing on economics and disaster management relevant to competitive exams.

The programme aimed to orient undergraduate students towards various competitive examinations and to enhance their understanding of interdisciplinary components essential for exam preparation. The sessions were led by Ms. Akshaya S, Academic Mentor, pscmithr.com, who provided a structured overview of the nature, scope, and preparation strategies for competitive examinations, with particular emphasis on economics and general studies. The programme included sessions on Introduction to Competitive Examinations and Economics for Competitive Exams and Disaster Management – Acts and Procedures in Competitive Examinations. The resource person elucidated key concepts, important legislations, and frequently tested areas, thereby strengthening students’ conceptual clarity and analytical approach. The programme witnessed active student participation and was well received for its academic relevance and practical orientation. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sereena K and Nazeema M. K. (HoD, Department of Botany), under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh C, Principal, and proved to be a meaningful initiative in motivating students towards systematic and goal-oriented competitive exam preparation.
