Intercollegiate Forensic Science Quiz Competition

Scienza Del Crimine: Celebrating Forensic Science WeekOn October 1, 2024, the Forensic Science Department of MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, proudly hosted Scienza Del Crimine, an inter-collegiate quiz competition. This event commemorated Forensic Science Week, aiming to promote knowledge and expertise among students.The competition drew enthusiastic participation from 21 teams comprising 42 students from esteemed colleges, including CMS College of Science and Commerce Coimbatore, keral police academy thrissur,St. Thomas College thrissur and others. The event took place at Ambedkar Hall, commencing at 11:00 am.Amaniya and Beema, anchors from the department, warmly welcomed participants. Faculty member Ms.Haritha Jayachandran provided clear instructions, ensuring a seamless competition. Quiz master Mr. Sooraj Krishna U introduced and skillfully moderated the quiz, posing challenging questions.After 20 initial questions, Team 21 ( Afin tomy , Gouri ,st.thomas colloge thrissur) secured first place with 6 points, while Team 20 and Team 10 tied with 5 points. Five additional questions determined the final rankings: Team 20 Emilda Sebastian, Alen T J,st.thomas college thrissur)emerged second , and Team 10( Mohammad shinas, Hafiz , keral police academy,thrissur)third.Following the quiz, a refreshing break with snacks and beverages was provided to the participants and attendees. After refreshment the award ceremony commenced with College Principal Dr. Rajesh distributing prizes to the winning teams: Rs. 3,000 for first place, Rs. 2,000 for second, and Rs. 1,000 for third. Additionally, all participants received certificates of participation, acknowledging their efforts.Ms. Haritha Jayachandran delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to participants, judges, and organizers. Her words resonated with the audience, encapsulating the event's spirit.the program successfully concluded at 12:30.Scienza Del Crimine was a resounding success, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, critical thinking, and forensic science expertise among participants. The achievement can be attributed to the tireless efforts of the organizing committee, volunteer team, and supportive faculty.Their dedication ensured a seamless and engaging experience for all, fostering academic excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration.
