The Institution's Innovation Council of MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, organized a session titled "Talk on Patent and Progress" on 19th November 2024. The program took place at the Satyajit Ray Audio Visual Theatre from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It aimed to educate participants about the significance of patents and their role in fostering innovation and development.The session commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Heneen Muhammad K, who greeted the resource person, dignitaries, and participants, and set the tone for the event.The formal inauguration of the event was conducted by Dr. C Rajesh, the esteemed Principal of MES Kalladi College. In his address, Dr. Rajesh highlighted the importance of intellectual property rights and their potential to drive research and innovation among students and academicians.The keynote session was led by Dr. Sharafali, Assistant Professor at Sullamussalam Science College, Areekode. Dr. Sharafali delivered an insightful talk, elaborating on the concept of patents, their legal framework, and their impact on technological and economic progress. He shared practical examples and encouraged students and faculty members to think innovatively and protect their creations through patents. The engaging and interactive session provided the audience with valuable knowledge and sparked discussions on various aspects of patenting.The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sruthi V S, Assistant Professor at MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad. She expressed gratitude to the resource person, the Principal, the organizing team, and the participants for making the event a success.The session provided attendees with a clear understanding of the role of patents in fostering innovation and their importance in the modern competitive world.
