NCC Army & Navy contact a program on international day against abuse and illicit trafficking

International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2024 observed by hosting an awareness programme by 2 Coy NCC (Army Wing), MES Kalladi College together with NCC Naval Wing on June 26, 2024. Principal Dr. C. Rajesh inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Rajesh emphasized the importance of educating young minds about the adverse effects of drug abuse and the role of educational institutions in fostering a safe and healthy environment. The guest speaker for the event was Sub-Inspector Erishiprasad T V from the Mannarkkad Police Station. SI Erishiprasad delivered a compelling talk on the current state of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the region. He provided valuable insights into the legal consequences and the societal impact of drug-related activities. Associate NCC Officer Captain Saithalavi P delivered welcome address and Vice-Principal and Naval Wing ANO Dr. Jaleel T. K delivered the felicitation address. At the end of the program, NCC cadets performed a powerful mime act that depicted the devastating effects of drug abuse and the journey towards rehabilitation and recovery. The performance was highly impactful, using expressive movements and emotions to convey the serious message without words.
