Extension Activity

An extension activity titled “Nature Walk to Silent Valley National Park” was organized by the Research and Post Graduate Department of Economics, MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, on 24 March 2024. Conducted in association with the Forest Department, Mannarkkad, the programme provided students with environmental awareness and experiential learning.

An extension activity titled “Nature Walk to Silent Valley National Park” was organized by the Research and Post Graduate Department of Economics, MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, on 24 March 2024. Conducted in association with the Forest Department, Mannarkkad, the programme provided students with environmental awareness and experiential learning. A total of 23 participants took part in the programme. The students were escorted and guided by Dr. Anu Joseph and Dr. Nasiya V. K, who served as the faculty coordinators for the activity. The nature walk commenced at 8:45 AM and concluded at 2:00 PM. Throughout the programme, students were able to observe the rich biodiversity of the region, gaining first-hand knowledge about forest ecosystems, conservation practices, and the importance of protecting natural resources.
