MES Kalladi College( Autonomous ), Mannarkkad Department of Business Administration Programme Report of Career Guidance Programme Corporate Expectations from Aspiring Professionals The Department of Business Administration of MES Kalladi College organized a session titled “Corporate Expectations from Aspiring Professionals” on 09 March 2026 at 10:30 AM at Thunchan Auditorium. The programme aimed to familiarize management students with the expectations of the corporate world and to equip them with the essential skills required for professional success. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Jisha Sankar, faculty member of the Department of Business Administration. The event was conducted under the leadership of the college Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Jasmine P. M, and the guidance of the Head of the Department, Shabna M. K. The resource person for the session was Unnikrishnan P, Head – Campus Connect at Mahatma College of Management Studies. He delivered an insightful and engaging talk focusing on the changing expectations of employers in the corporate sector. During the session, the speaker highlighted several key competencies that aspiring professionals must develop, including effective communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving ability, professional ethics, and a positive attitude towards learning. He emphasized the importance of continuous skill development, industry awareness, and practical exposure in order to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and corporate requirements. The speaker also discussed the significance of time management, confidence building, and professional networking for career growth. Real-life examples and practical suggestions shared during the session made the interaction highly informative and inspiring for the students. The programme witnessed active participation from students of the Department of Business Administration.
