The Department of Psychology, MES Kalladi College Mannarkkad, as part of the Mental Health Week Celebration, is organizing a workshop exclusively for psychology students titled “Beyond Blues: Workshop on Crisis Intervention.” The session will be conducted by Mr. Mishab A K, Director and Licensed Clinical Psychologist (UAE & India), Mind Weavers. This interactive workshop aims to help students understand the nature of psychological crises and develop practical skills in effective crisis management and intervention. Mental Health Week Celebration 2025 Department of Psychology MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad The Department of Psychology, MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, organized a one-day workshop titled “Beyond Blues: Workshop on Crisis Intervention” as part of the Mental Health Week Celebration 2025. The event was held on 15th October 2025 at 10:30 AM in the College Auditorium. The session was facilitated by Mr. Mishab A. K, Director & Licensed Clinical Psychologist (UAE & India), Mind Weavers. The workshop was conducted in association with Jeevani: Centre for Well-being and Thuna Listening Club The program commenced with a welcome address by (Megha D, assistant professor psychology) followed by a brief introduction of the resource person. In his keynote session, Mr. Mishab A.K. highlighted the importance of recognizing and responding to emotional crises, particularly among young adults. The workshop focused on crisis intervention models, suicide prevention strategies, psychological first aid, communication skills, and ethical considerations while handling individuals in distress. The workshop was highly interactive, featuring group activities, case discussions, and role-play exercises that helped students gain practical exposure to crisis management techniques. The session also emphasized the significance of developing supportive environments within academic institutions to promote mental well-being. Around 40 students from the Department of Psychology participated in the workshop and actively engaged throughout the program. Feedback received from participants indicated that the session was informative, insightful, and beneficial for their academic and professional growth. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by (Adheela P, assistant professor department of psychology), expressing gratitude to the resource person, college management, organizing committee, and participants for making the program a successful and enriching learning experience.
