"REVIVE"

Reported on: 25-09-2025

The Department of Forensic Science, MES Kalladi College Mannarkkad, successfully conducted “Revive” Suicide Prevention Awareness Program on 25th September 2025 at college campus. The Head of Department, Dinsha K, coordinates this program, with supervision provided by faculty members Aruna and Malavika. The event aimed to provide students to foster a supportive campus environment and encourage open dialogue around campus. As a part of the program, we provided a platform where students contributed their thoughts on suicide prevention and subsequently added their signature as a public pledge and commitment to well-being. This highly visible, interactive campaign effectively mobilized the student body, creating a strong visual testament to the collective responsibility towards mental health and demonstrating community solidarity against suicide. The ‘Suicide Prevention Awareness Program’ proved to be a profoundly valuable experience, blending academic initiative with essential social awareness in a collaborative yet reflective setting. The core board activity, collecting supportive thoughts and signatures, not only enhanced the students’ capacity for empathetic communication but also powerfully fostered community solidarity and proactive well-being advocacy across the campus. The Department of Forensic Science expressed deep gratitude to all the participants and the dedicated student organizers who ensured the event was a resounding success.
