**Report on Debate Competition Conducted by the Debate Club** The Debate Club of MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, organized a thought-provoking debate competition on the topic, *"Does the education system favour girls over boys in its structure and approach?"* on 19th November 2024 at 2:30 PM in Ambedkar Hall. The event saw active participation from students of various departments, who presented diverse perspectives on this socially relevant topic. Some argued that the education system's emphasis on discipline and communication skills tends to align more with traditionally feminine traits, while others countered that boys face no structural disadvantages, but rather societal expectations that affect their performance. The debate showcased impressive research, critical thinking, and eloquence from the participants, leaving the audience deeply engaged. The adjudicators evaluated the performances based on content, delivery, and rebuttal skills. The winners of the competition were as follows: - **First Prize:** Fathimath Hiba, Second Year BA English - **Second Prize:** Hasna Farvin, First Year BSc Physics - **Third Prize:** Afeefa and Muhsina, First Year BA History The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Debate Club Secretary, who commended the participants for their enthusiasm and effort.
